Event & Concert Credential Policy

In order to be considered for media credentials to cover events/concerts at Capital One Arena, the print, television, online or radio outlet must adhere to professional standards, regularly produce related content to events/concerts, and have an established history and viewing audience. Freelance photographers or freelance writers must be on an assignment with a media outlet to be considered for access. All-Access or backstage access is not given during events/concerts. Standard coverage, if approved for the requested event, includes press tickets and/or a photo pass. Photo passes, when approved, are allotted for a certain amount of time as designated by the event. Approval for media coverage must be obtained for each individual event/concert. Interviews are typically not available for concerts on the day of the show.

Press Entrance

The arena is located at 601 F Street NW with a separate media entrance located near the corner of 6th and F Streets NW (Stairwell 1) is marked by a red awning. All members of the media must enter and exit through the press entrance and have the proper credentials to access an event at Capital One Arena. All bags will be subject to search upon entry at the press entrance. 

Media Security Policy

All media and others with access to restricted areas will be required to produce a photo ID and all bags and equipment will be subject to inspection. All media must enter through the Press Entrance located at 6th Street NW near F Street. If parking in the Capital One Arena garage, members of the media should exit the building through the elevators in the middle of the garage and enter through the Press Entrance. 

Parking

Parking is not provided for members of the media attending or covering events at Capital One Arena. There are several public parking garages in the surrounding area, as well as street parking. Capital One Arena does have its own parking garage which is generally open to the public during the day and for concerts during the evenings. It is located next to the loading dock at the corner of 6th and G Streets NW.  Please see our Parking page for more information.
